Refresher/practice session

Today we did a photography refresher class and we experimented with some lighting setups which I found really useful. We took a couple of great pictures which, unfortuntely, I wasn't able to find on myCourse but I hope they will be posted later on.

Equipment used:

• two light stands with heads;
• two medium sized softboxes;
• two diffusion pannels (to soften even more the light from the softboxes);
• beautydish;
• sync lead;
• camera;
• macro, 50 and 85 mm lenses (the macro lens is good for close-up shots and the other lenses are good for portrait);
• tripod;
• USB cable to connect the camera to the computer.

Camera settings:

• ISO 100;
• 1/160 shutter speed;
• F 8.0;
• manual mode - RAW quality.
